downloading dumps on ladder

Hey was just curious about the ladder, their is an option to download a character dump on the ladder, does this just download the text document or can this be used as a character save file? I had someone comment on a dump i havent played with in about 2 months and they where wondering if i was still playing the character, didnt say why they where asking? Is it possible for people to download your dumps to use in someway?

It's just the copy of the textual character sheet, to save hassle copy pasting. No save files are ever uploaded to The Ladder.
