Sorry for thread necro but it took me like 20 guesses to be able to register an account because I was just googling it and I wasn't sure what type of answer was being requested. It's been quite a while since I've read LOTR.

I was having big forum spam problems on a board that I maintain, and I ended up installing Anti-Spam ACP with Stop Forum Spam integration. It works well for me.

Unless Bella is a keen angbander who just happens to feel *really* strongly about removing asbestos, in which case, my apologies to you Bella!

Well, you could try the abuse contact of the ISP and see if it helps. Maybe its also in their interest:

An other way would be to disable the host because it seems unique. Maybe just someone using the same nick in other forums and forgot his real nick here? But then you should have received some password reset requests.
