As you may have noticed from the new URL these forums are now hosted together with angband.live by me, Gwarl. Pav has retired and no longer bears any responsibility.

At the same time I have a new github profile and am accepting sponsorships again.

The goal I've put covers hosting for angband.live and domain name renewal as well as this forum.

Regarding the future of this forum;

The current software is very outdated. We could migrate to a newer version at the cost of $179 dollars for a license or we could just ditch these forums, host them as an archive and use something different going forward. The reason for doing any of that is because the forum with its current software has been indundated with spambots to the point of closing registrations.

Ultimately I would to incorporate the non-forum parts of the site into angband.live itself (the ladder, competition etc) and archive the static parts (comic, funnies etc) somewhere else but this may be a long time happening.

For now remain calm and everything should mostly work as it should (I have noticed the ladder entries are not showing correctly but I will fix things here and there).

A very generous donation from one of our users has covered the major part of the cost of the new vBulletin license - I should have time to start work on the upgrade next week as well as troubleshooting some of the ladder issues. The goal is to have everything working properly before the new year.
