There are many video game companies around these days, from established names to indie developers.

There's something about PosChengband (in its entirety) and Sil that reminds me of this...

While not the same, it reminded me of a video of this guy that designed an AI that could learn how to play a game on the NES using just one 'sample input'-play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOCurBYI_gY . You might find it interesting.

Mostly retired Angband player. I just don't have the time .
