So I havent thought about this roguelike in about a year, but I decided to replay it and noticed my skill increased a lot. Im getting medals I never got before, and in relatively few playthroughs.

Anyone else want to join in the fun?
Its a short-medium length roguelike. Typical games last 20minutes-2hours.
24 dungeon levels, ironman. No NPCs. Fixed special levels. Simple crafting/modding system.
5 Difficulty settings and additional challenge modes and achievement system really flesh out the game.

Yep, I've played it some. Best I've done so far was beating episode 2 with 5% health left and then dying basically immediately in Hell. It has some neat concepts.

Yes, he definitely has some great ideas. I just played a bit of DoomRL and (actually even better) DiaboloRL. Somehow i always got stuck at AliensRL, maybe because i prefer the theme. As usual i suck at all of them

Ive found that after being able to win in Im too young to die, I got better quickly. Cornershooting, proper placement, minimizing taking hits all improve and then you get better at those skills once you learn them.

Tab to run helps too.
On ITYTD, Survivalist is a good trait, as is Blademaster, Vampyre, Army of the Dead. Any are viable on that difficulty and some are "better" but your main concern is being able to survive high amounts of fire damage and being able to kill the enemies.

Use the sound effects to your advantage! Monsters make noise when they take a hit.

I just love this game, its so well crafted.
