Truemyths.org is a relatively new blog run by John Carswell, who, having completed his MA in English on Tolkien's creative philosophy, wants to share his knowledge with the wide world.

It has excellent breakdowns of many of Tolkien's works, especially "Tree and Leaf" and "The Silmarillion." It has so far been very insightful, and a great pleasure to read.

I know not all Angband players are necessarily lovers of Tolkien, but for those who are, enjoy! I especially recommend the "On Fairy Stories" and "Mythopoeia" posts!

Looks like a very interesting perspecitve. Unfortunately the navigation is lacking. When I click on "THE SILMARILLION – A BEGINNER’S GUIDE", I get (at the top) a reply form and a little further down a list recent posts. A couple of which have titles to do with the Silmarillion, but the rest mostly unrelated. Not, as one would expect, "Part 1" of the series of posts about the Silmarillion.
