I got Hellgate and the Witcher at the same time and I'm having so much fun playing the Witcher (and entroband) that I haven't got past character level 7 in Hellgate.
    You are on something strange

      >>... and nobody tried Hellgate: London?

Is this a game? It sounds more like a documentary...

@hellgate: I tried the demo (I know it isn't representive), and I guess I would like to play it more. But my PC can only play it on the lower settings, plus If I had it, I would want to play online, and would chose the 10€/month version not this half of a deal free mode. Add to that the fact that the bug rate is still kind of high, so I don't see myself buying this game anytime soon.

I'll get Mario Galaxy instead when it comes out later this month, and maybe guitar hero III if they fix the no sterio bug in the european Wii version.

I played full time Hellgate: London in these days and the only bug I found was that sometimes the player gets stuck in certain places (to avoid it just don't jump around like I do every time I play )
The are minor differences between free and mothly fee version:
In free version you can have only 3 characters (24 if you pay), you can't create guild but you can join them, you can't have certain items (which they should change only visually, not in power) and may be something else.
The game game is fully playable off-line and I didn't found any kind of limitation yet.
The demo is too short though to allow a real valutation of it.

You say Diablo 3? Now you got me really interested.

            Pav checks screenshots.

What, no isometric hand drawn view? Bah. Pav dont want.

@Keeper well non-paying you also miss out the new content they'll add on a regular basis. And I'm really sure that will include true items as well. It is enough stuff for me to want it, should I buy the game, what in turn makes it a reason to not buy it now. I want the full experience or non at all At least, iirc they've made the elite mode (only die once; hard core mode in D2; basic rule of Angband) available for free loaders.

Bugs, I did read about random crashes of both the game and the online servers and something about the artifacts getting generated without their atributes, but then again I've only read about it.

Again if I had the computer and the freetime, I would likely buy it, as it is a nice game. Good thing I don't have the computer as the lack of freetime would likely not stop me alone

I just beat Puzzle Quest! The final battle had me stumped for AGES, but I got lucky on my zillionth attempt. That was with a "jack-of-all-trades" knight, maybe I'll try again with a more specialised character.
                Cool game, I recommend it.

Guild Wars, from time to time. WoW... well, it degraded to a meeting place for L33T0rz. That doesn't mean that there are no smart people playing it.
If you can convincingly pretend you're crazy, you probably are.

Ugh, I hated that game. When I got to the end (before the last boss) I thought "Why am I doing this to myself?" and finally quit.

I mean, it was bad, but addictive...

Yeah. My brother played WoW, but most of the time he'd just dick around with exploits. Like he found a way to get on top of the Alliance HQ castle as an Orc, so he had crowds gathering and trying to find him and he was just laughing.

He also found a way to get under the city, and apparently there is some sort of pit there that you can't climb out of, so he'd just knock people into it.

I don't play because people like this:

Uplink is brilliant, by the way.
A little, cheap game (10$ on Steam) that might hook you up for a *long* time.
                                Short:
                                You're a hacker.
                                Long:
You're a freelancing Uplink agent. You perform missions for various companies, like destroying or stealing research data, tracing hackers who recently hackend them, hacking into banks to check financial standings, frame people for crimes they didn't commit...
It has a few story missions, including an adrenalizing boss battle, which isn't really a boss "battle"... whatever, see it yourself!
If you make a mistake, you might get disavowed and lose the game - no saves! Permalose (not death, in that case), like Angband.
It has some flaws (you can get over 1.000.000$ in one stroke if you know how, which breaks the game - you can buy everything).
Now go buy and play it. You won't regret it. (Well, unless you have a girlfriend)
If you can convincingly pretend you're crazy, you probably are.
