Recommended PS2-USB adapter for old keyboards?

I use an old IBM KB-8923 keyboard. It has a PS2 connector. I've been using a Trendnet TU-PS2 USB adapter to connect it to my current system, and it usually works. Unfortunately, it has a quirk that occurs in multiple apps, but is really only a problem when I'm playing Angband. (In fact, when the problem occurs, it almost always occurs in Angband rather than another app. And, obviously, the problem has more serious repercussions in Angband than in Notepadqq.)

Occasionally I'll press a key and that input will be repeated continuously until I press another key. For example, in Angband I'll press the up arrow to advance one step down a hallway, and the system suddenly acts as though I'm holding down the up arrow key. If I'm lucky, the hallway has a bend, and the repeats are treated as though I'm trying to advance into a wall, and I'll see "There is a wall in the way!" repeated until I frantically hit another key to stop the invalid input; if I'm unlucky, there's an ancient multi-colored dragon in my path, and the involuntary repeats mean that my mage is suddenly involved in melee attacks on the multi-colored dragon, and is vaporized before I can react.

I did a quick search and found a related topic on StackExchange (search for "How can I prevent unwanted key repeat when using PS/2 keyboard with USB adapter?") and the conclusions there seemed to be that these keyboards seem to be rather picky about which adapters they'll work with.

I don't suppose anyone else out there is using an old PS2-style keyboard and has found a PS2-USB adapter that resolves this problem?
