Did anyone watch it? What did you think? I was kind of hoping they were going to do more real world stunts and less CGI. What made the originals great is the action always felt integral to the plot and character development and humor/wit; whereas in this outing it just kind of felt like ... mindless action within a sea of mindless action films. The rickshaw chase would have been cool if it wasn't so ridiculous and a bit overdone. :-/ I hardly remember action scenes that came after, but they didn't feel like they served the plot, but rather served the idea that we need to make this film m0re bigger and better than any Indy film that went before.

Apparently, since 2020 Disney employees had to keep a DEI diary and their financial bonuses were tied to conform behaviour. From the sound of it, that's what I'd expect a chinese company in Mao's times to look like.
My source is this video:

Now the DEI functionary has recently been fired; if and how that means things are going to change in view of the ongoing financial disaster for Disney, time will show.
Indiana Jones V has been made under supervision by a political ideolog and those are not known for coming up with engaging stories.Comment
