First of all, thanks for putting the damage indicator in the char screen, Nick - it makes working out the best strategy a lot simpler.

One quick question - do Rings of Damage affect barehand melee damage? I've just found one (+9) but average damage on the char screen stays at 14 whether I'm wearing it or not...

My guess would be yes, but I'm not sure. Average damage, as shown on the character screen is an average of your last 10 attacks, so simply wielding the ring won't change it. Go kill a few enemies and see if it changes.

From memory, the answer is yes, but not as you might think.

IIRC a druid gets a small number of rolls, the best of which determines what attack (s)he uses. The number of rolls is determined by your deadliness. Therefore if your ring takes you over one of the discrete boundaries to get another roll, then you will see an improvement in damage as you have a better chance of getting a better attack.

Thanks, team - now it makes sense, as I'd been very confused by damage varying over time on the char screen.
