    Frog- Bug with Split Personality?

Please see the ladder for my current Instant Coffee character with a split personality. http://angband.oook.cz/ladder-show.php?id=24222
I selected ALL available personalities just to see how it would play out. The result was a character with ever-increasing negative personality modifiers on all six stats. Something appears to be broken with split personality, unless it is meant to be a challenge mode.

Unsure if its a bug or not, but in a real sense, anyone with that many personalities bottled up in their head at once isn't going to be doing well reading a book, not to even talk about going into actual combat.

@Nemo. 16 out of 19 of us agree with you. Fearless Guy says "Bring it on! Nothing scares me", Lazy Guy is asleep on the couch again, and Chaotic Guy keeps screaming "Embrace the Horror!"

@Sideways. Serious questions about how personality modifications are handled for Split personality characters.
      1. Are personality stat modifications reset to zero before calculating the modifications for the new personality mix, or are they added on top of the previous stat modifications?
      2. In addition to the stat modifications for the dominant personality, are all, some, or none of the stat modifications for the partially suppressed personalities also applied?
      3. If fractional stat modifications are used for partially suppressed personalities and then rounded off, is it possible that "rounding off" over the course of 60 personality changes has resulted in the overall stat drain experienced with this character?

The stat modifiers for a Split character are calculated like this: 1) modifiers from the dominant personality count normally; 2) negative modifiers from partially suppressed personalities count normally, and positive modifiers count half; 3) fully dormant personalities have zero effect; so if you have a lot of partially suppressed personalities, the fully counted negative modifiers are likely to outweigh the half-couted positive modifiers. Part of what you're seeing is likely also that Lazy and Fragile have really bad stats and skills.
The Complainer worries about the lack of activity here these days.

Thanks for the explanation. "negative modifiers from partially suppressed personalities count normally, and positive modifiers count half" matches perfectly with what I was seeing. Not sure it's "fair", but it may be balancing because it limits a form of potential split personality abuse. In the case of this character, the experience was interesting and educational. I didn't realize how much negative modifiers outnumber positive ones across the spectrum of of the 19 selectible personalities.
