PCB: Beasmaster with 0 mana

Hi,
I am playing a new beastmaster character in version 7.0.2

But he has 0 mana. My charisma is over 18 and the doco says "Charisma determines a beastmaster's spell casting aility". So why is my mana always 0. It really annoying because when I rest R& it waits for the mana and thus burns through food and oil.

Is it still using my INT? (really low)

Edit: And my regen is really low. To heal 100HP takes a food cycle (Full to Hungry) and a half.
Could this be undocument side affects of one of my mutations?

"your flesh is rotting" - you'll need regen on your gear to counter this.

Is that ("Your flesh is rotting") just the HP regen? Or the mana as well?

Both, I don't think they're seperated in the code. That 0% after regen on the character sheet is both.
