    Question for hengbanders...

Do you bother with learning how to dual wield? It seems to take forever to gain proficiency - far longer than increasing weapon skill. Is it worth while?
    Thanks

    DEFINITELY!
but really, only a few classes can dual-wield effectively
Berzerk, Warrior, Weaponmaster - can wield Spec with
no problems, spec nullifies all dual wield penalties...
They can deal MORE than DOUBLE the damage of any other
    class in melee, dualwielding...

Samurai, Rogue, (Chaos warrior? Paladin?) need to find a
gengi glove to have a to-hit good enough (IMO) late game
    note that i am a to-hit freak

For every other class, i think that they would miss too much
    (~40%+) against late game monsters...

To raise dual wield skill, you must hit monsters above lvl 25
if you have skill 0 (untrained), and more if you are of a class
that start with some skill, so, really, dual wielding is only
pratical (and very rewarding) from the middle game onwards.

        Hm
        Correcting myself from half-sleeping post
Spec is an artifact found only in Entroband, derivative of Heng
So, in the hands Gengi for all...

        And an advice
carry and use !hero, !holy chant and
!berzerk, they are more powerfull the lesser is your to-hit and
can make all the difference against the tougher
        monsters youll find midgame...
