! sign next to dungeon name - what does it mean?

When I press C and scroll to where a list of dungeons appear, some of them have ! sign before name, and some of them do not. What does it mean?

It might help to indicate what variant you're playing.

Wild guesses -- dungeons that you've reached the bottom of, or that you have a Recall point set for, or that have bosses that you have/have not yet killed.

What variant are you playing? I'd assume that meant you hit the deepest possible level for that dungeon, or perhaps you killed the dungeon guardian.

This is probably PosChengband if nothing else....That ! mark means you have completed the dungeon (either because you killed the dungeon's boss or you reached its deepest level while not having a boss)
