    Riding skill has changed perhaps? I get a message that I'm improving when I fall off & it took me a lot less time to get to beginner then I remember from previous versions.

      One thing I noticed while making some tweaks (ID average weapons/armor/ammo when pseudo'd) is that you now gain XP from your pet's kills. I'm not 100% sure when this change occurred, but I think it is post-Hengband.

      Makes summons builds a lot more viable.

      Also, here is a list of spell changes between Hengband and Poschengband (for the "normal" spell realms):
      Death
      1-RPoison > RUndead (Poison+Cold)
      4-Hellfire > Nether Storm (swap with Daemon spell)

      Life
      1-Cause Light Wounds > Regeneration
      2-Cause Medium Wounds > Fasting (sustained; while hungry has a small chance to restore XP or a drained stat)
      3-Day of the Dove (mass charm) > Sustaining (temp sustain stats, # based on level)
      3-Cause Critical Wounds > Cure Mutation
      3-Alter Reality > Transcendance (damage dealt to SP instead of HP)

      Sorcery
      2-Mass Sleep > Mass Stasis (more powerful)
      3-Charm Monster > Stair Creation
      4-Explosive Rune > Door Creation
      4-Charm Monsters > Device Mastery

      Nature
      -Tame animal replaced with levitation
      -Animal Friendship replaced with call light (from book 4)
      -Loses Cyclone, replaced with Fire Storm
      -Call Sunlight moved, replaced with Ice Bolt
      -Elemental Branding replaced with Gravity Storm

      Chaos: no changes

      Trump: no changes

      Arcane:
      4-Conjure Elemental > Resist Poison
      5-Elemental Ball > Recharging

      Craft:
      1-Infravision > Minor Enchantment (add +s to gear)
      2-Protection from Evil > Identify
      2-Mana Branding > Elemental Branding (name change, new brand is temp)
      3-Walk through Wall > Whirlwind Attack (attack all adjacent)
      3-Create Golem > Weaponmastery (melee weapon buff)
      4-Remove Enchantment (mundanity) > Walk through wall
      4-Enchant Weapon + Enchant Armor > Enchantment (does both)
      4-Brand Weapon (make random ego) > Crafting (make weapon, armor or ammo random ego)
      4- X > Mana BRanding (temporary (Force Weapon) brand)

      Daemon
      4-Nether Storm > Hellfire (swap with Death spell)
      4-Bloody Curse (Random effects with backlash) > Send to Hell (Genocide with 666 power single monster)

      Crusade
      3-Holy Aura > Angelic Cloak (holy aura + Resist acid, cold & lightning)
