    [PosChengband] Experience gain stuck

the possessor character is not gaining ExP.

is this because I'm not diving enough?

Each possessor form has a max level. Once you reach this level, you will stop gaining experience and should look for a new form to possess.

You can view stats and info about your current form on the Monster Knowledge screen (~4).

Thank you Chris. I didn't know the ~4 for Possessors!
I've since switched to a Forest Troll and am gaining EXP again.

However, what I still find a bit confusing is .....the "It will evolve into a Elven Warlock when it gets enough experience" line.... i wasn't gaining EXP beyond CL15 as a D.E. Mage....

        Yeah, that's something else entirely

In Hengband, you can have monsters as pets that fight along side you. These pets gain experience when killing enemies, just like the player does. And certain monsters can evolve if they gain enough experience. (This can be very useful for evolving baby dragon pets or few-headed hydras into more powerful forms).

This monster evolution doesn't apply to possessors who will need to earn a new corpse the hard way.
