Another very minor one -
Upon entering the bottom level of the Woodsman Village dungeon, a list of 11 things "disappears from view" came onscreen, as if the game had generated the objects and dropped them into the grass as my character appeared on the stairs. Not sure whether that was supposed to be visible or not - that's the first time I've seen something like that. There had been no combat yet, no traps that went off, nothing.Leave a comment:

A few more -
On the self-knowledge screen, it said that my character was afflicted with paranoia caused by minor ailments. I tried a Mushroom of Cure Paranoia and it didn't cure the disease. Maybe those aren't supposed to cure the disease type of paranoia. If so, then it's a bit confusing - maybe the disease type could be renamed to differentiate it?
Scrying spells such as Sense Magic seem a little untidy in that they will list as choices some items that have already been identified, or mushroom patch spores (which don't get identified).
Description for Path through Misty Mountains - missing a letter and a couple spaces - should be:
The High Pass over Misty Mountains is said to be the easiest road east to Mirkwood and further towards Smaug's lair. Easiest does not mean easy. It is too steep and too high to be even attempted when fresh snow falls and in other times goblins set traps for adventurers entering the wild. After a long walk up the pass, you are exhausted, but fortunately, you find an entrance '>' to a cave...Leave a comment:

And I came across another object pile so I checked exactly what showed onscreen.
I hit 'x' ('l') to look at it:
You see a pile of 2 objects [r,q,p,o,a,g,+,-,.,?,<dir>]
Then I hit 'r' to recall, and it offers me a list of the objects:
a} a Black ogre Corpse
b} a Jade Ring of Resist Cold
If I choose A:
Target Selected.
If I choose B it moves to another object further on.
You mentioned that we can't examine from afar, but normally, I can use the above method to call up a description for any object on my screen (except for one in a pile, apparently). For this one, my character was standing adjacent to the pile.Leave a comment:

Could this be related? I can't peruse Magic Book of Inventures to see the spells in it. First time I've come across this problem and I've checked out a LOT of spellbooks.
And Scroll of Continual Light - "When read, it can enchant one item to become lite." I'm assuming that's supposed to say something more like "to become a source of light."

When I look at them to check for spells, though, it won't let me look at the Summoning rune stone - it doesn't appear as an option like the others do, and when I type the inventory letter for it anyway, I just get the usual error ding. That's what confused me about learning spells from runes in the first place - there were at least a couple before that one that didn't appear on the list to look at spells.
Is it possible that the crash could be related to class? I wouldn't think so. So either it's just that Flame rune stone, or just some random weirdness that won't happen again. Who knows? After all, computers are fickle and mysterious things. I'll keep my eyes peeled for that stone and see if it recurs.

Found a crash. Happened while looking at the spells listed on a Flame rune stone. I think it was the first spell listed, Fire Bolt II or something along those lines. The only option changed on this character is center_player and I doubt that's related. Unfortunately, since I'd just found that stone and the game wasn't saved, I can't investigate further unless I get lucky and find another one.Last edited by Bandobras; March 14, 2008, 23:28.Leave a comment:

Off the subject - I was just thinking that now that dungeons are referenced by levels rather than the kinda deprecated "X feet" (50 feet per depth), that it would be nice if towers would give a message like "It looks to be about 40 floors (or stories) high" instead of "2000 ft high."Leave a comment:

Here is a savefile with the stair crash. Just try to go upstairs the first turn.

I received a bug message tonight, using scroll of Word of Recall from the top level of Barrow Downs. Attaching savefile in case you need it.
Bug: Bad maze on level. Please report.Attached FilesLeave a comment:

Magical Bag of Helpful Mushrooms - it doesn't swallow Mushrooms of Cure Cuts. They sit separately in the inventory.Leave a comment:
