    PWMAngband 1.1.9 released

For those unfamiliar with PWMAngband, it's a multiplayer real-time variant of Angband based on MAngband 1.1.2 with additions from ToME (features from the time it was still called PernAngband, but without the Pern references) and a few personal additions: new races, classes, monsters and items.

This release mainly consists of porting the features from Angband 3.4 and adding a new class, the Summoner. A big thanks to the Angband devteam for their awesome work!

See https://www.mangband.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2032 for the full story (and downloads).

To play on a PWMAngband server, download the client and unzip the files. To start your own server, download the server. And enjoy!

Ever thought of turn based multi-player. I think it could be fun with the right group of people. I don't much care for matching wits with a computer in real time.

No, thank you PowerWyrm for your numerous bug finds and recommended fixes! I'll craft a news item tomorrow unless Nick beats me to it again.

You're missing the best part here... A fight with Morgoth is quite thrilling in real time.

I'm not a big macro user, maybe that's why I can't grasp the concept of fighting... well... anything in real time. I also have a tendency to overlook obvious life saving measures even in more traditional turn based variants. I suppose that if I were playing in real time, at least I'd have an excuse .

I'll have to try a playing a game where I just continuously tap the 5 key while (briefly) contemplating my next move.
