    Question regarding traps in daaj

    Hi.

Not sure if anyone remembers, but hello again. I hung about here late in 2009, and am now back after a long absense.

Daaj, my favourite varient has been through several versions, so I downloaded the latest and am giving it another go, deffinately reminding me of the fun of running around a dark dungeon trying to avoid getting splattered!

I do however have a question.

In Daaj currently I keep coming across open pits. they don't seem to damage me when I fall in, and don't seem to be hidden, but I can't quite work out what they do.

I have even seen a monster fall in, and seemingly get stuck, sinse I was then able to bash it on the head many times.

Also, the tweaks with layout and generation in creating different shaped rooms and passages are deffinately interesting too.

Well, hope everyone is doing well and having fun in the dungeons.

Open pits are a terrain feature, not a trap. They cannot be disarmed. They are occasionally generated upon dungeon creation in ruined areas and special rooms, and are also produced by earthquakes and stuff like that.

thanks, good to know, I was wondering why I couldn't disarm or deal with them, though seeing a novice rogue fall in and then killing him before he could get out was quite amusing.
