First just wanted to say hi to you all, been playing Angband for around 15 years now, albeit an ancient version for much of that time. I recently found this site and am pleased to see the game's going strong after all these years and it's good to play the latest version and also find so many good variants on the original game!
But yeah, regarding sCthangband, I really want to get into this game as I love the theme and also the skills system looks pretty cool. However, if I'm playing magic user characters I can't get spells to hit their target, I target a monster, cast something like Magic Missile and the missile hits the target but usually doesn't do anything, only very occasionally will the monster be affected by the spell. I was wondering if this was a bug, or if it's because my spellcasting skillls are low, or if I'm doing something wrong, any help would be appreciated.
