    Z2.7.4b crash with converted character

    I (somewhat) successfully converted my Z2.7.3 Golem Warrior to 2.7.4, and then to 2.7.4b

    A number of strange things happened in the conversion, some of which I list in the char dump, but now I'm periodically crashing when entering a store; I'm guessing that there's a conflict between old and new objects but haven't looked at the code to try to figure it out.

    Specifically, when I entered a '6' Magic Wares store, I got this crash dialog:
    ---------------------------
    Error
    ---------------------------

    Assertion failed: (o_ptr)->k_idx
    in file object2.c
    on line 190

    In addition to this, I noticed another weird thing: In one of my Homes in which I deposited many (sadly activation-nerfed) artifacts, a bunch of additional equipment appeared that I know I would never have deposited (like 99 Small metal shields, and other large numbers of average eq)

    I'm hoping I don't have to start over from scratch and that there's a workaround, or something I can do to eliminate the crash

    When it rains...

    another crash entering an Expert Armory '2' in the same town:
    ---------------------------
    Error
    ---------------------------

    Assertion failed: (j_ptr)->k_idx
    in file object2.c
    on line 4442

    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------

    Now it seems the first crash is 100% reproducible. I've uploaded a savefile just outside the erroring shops if it's helpful.

      To my knowledge Zangband is basically dead; I haven't heard of any development work being done on it in a long time. Z+ is still under development, but I would be very surprised if it were savefile-compatible. Sorry.

        *sigh*

        Oh well. Thanks for the response.

        I've decided to start anew (nothing new)

        Already I've had some incredible luck so here's looking to more in the future!
