    Three stupid Unangband questions

Been enjoying the new magic added, but I've run into a few snags.

A: Is there any way around the bug of your home requiring you to have enough money to buy an item before you can get it out of there after you've encountered it?

B: Just what does Animate Objects animate? I was expecting torches and daggers but all I could ever get to animate were body parts.

C: Are Men of Erech supposed to be getting diseases? I had assumed the undead tag would prevent that.

The bug should be fixed in wip7a, so download that...

Animate Objects will animate other stuff when you get deeper... it summons from the list of available monsters, and if you're too shallow, it'll only summon what's in depth.

Yes. Res_disease is a separate flag...

Just had a play with this - I'm getting torches to animate fine. Are you sure you're not casting Animate Dead? In which case, I've found problems with getting certain corpses to animate, because I forgot to include the UNDEAD flag on the potential monsters they could be animated into. Fixed in SVN - you could even download the revised monster.txt and limits.txt files from SVN if you were particularly ambitious.

It was definitely animate objects, but I never got all that deep with the character, in the 7-9 depth level before he met his end courtesy of a pit trap. My method of testing was to pile 1 of each thing I had extra on hand in the radius, and all I ever got was animated limbs at the time. I'd actually thought that was what you got early on with animate dead myself, hence the question.

Since I am running a Master now, I'll definitely work on collecting the SVN, and I appreciate the fast turnaround in response time. Congrats on managing to a WIP version of a game to tear me away from Sang. Maybe I'll try the campaign with a warrior mage of sorcery after all...
