Forking Hengband?

Here's a bug for you in Chengband. I have the artifact The Cutlass 'Lightning Conductor', but it doesn't show up in Display Known Artifacts under Display Current Knowledge. Is it not counted as an artifact? It was the first artifact I found.

It is an random created artifact which are not listed in Artifact Lists. So it is no bug.

That's right. There are two kinds of artifacts:
[1] Fixed artifacts. These are always the same (up to extra random resists, etc) and are hard coded.

[2] Random artifacts. These are completely random, usually suck, but are sometimes useful.

The list artifacts command only displays fixed artifacts.

Err, stupid question, but how do I compile chengband? Autoconf/automake borks on me because install.sh is missing.

Yeah, I inherited brokenness from Hengband. See this post: http://angband.oook.cz/forum/showthread.php?t=2648. Basically, you just need to edit makefile.std as appropriate and then just nmake it directly.
