    Un - Ring of Damage

    Hi.

    Just a quick question.

Just found and equipped a Ring of Damage +13. Does this only affect unarmed damage as looking at my stat sheet it has given the full damage bonus to the Fight stats but only increased my Weapon and shield stat damage by +3 ?

Or is this how they work in all variants though I'm sure it gives a bonus to all physical damage dealt?

In Un (only) total bonuses to damage are limited by the sum of dice of your weapon (plus 5, IIRC). Similarly AC bonuses are limited by the physical AC of a piece of armour. I don't remember the details for missile launchers. If it's not documented anywhere, it's really the first for the highly in-demand documentation volunteers.

I didn't realise we'd changed it to total damage bonus - I thought only the weapon damage enchantment was affected this way... looking at the code, you're entirely correct.

Dang, it's totally counter intuitive that the damage bonus isn't as advertised.

It isn't clear at all... hmm... I suspect we may end up going down the path of making the damage bonus apply only to the weapon you are wielding in that hand.
