Does Entroband reward one with experience for finding awesome items?

    o_O

I didn't see anything that explained this in the help file, and I can't quite figure out what just happened here. I'm trying out several variants, and I just started a game of Entroband. Naturally I started killing everyone in town, and some fellow named Lion Heart dropped a lucerne hammer, which almost immediately pseudoed as excellent. I wielded it, and *BAM*, level 17. What?

EDIT: Wait, it's due to my being an Android, isn't it? My level is based on how cool my equips are?

Welcome to heng/entro. Androids gain xp by wielding better equipment.

Seriously? I wasn't aware of that. That's pretty neat.

Yes, Androids can level up insanely fast if they find good stuff. I seem to recall jumping straight to level 28 or so after Wormtongue dropped the sword of Eowyn...

Of course, the flip side is that hounds and things like that are even more frustrating than usual, because you don't even gain any XP for killing them.
