    [UN] Amulet Specialist

Quick question for anyone that knows:

I chose 'Amulets' as my style for my latest Unangband character. The description says you get to wear an additional amulet. I'm now cl 20 and coming across my first amulets, and I only can seem to wear one. Is this a feature (this ability only comes later) or a bug?

    Thanks!

The extra amulet can be worn in your offhand slot - but because of a slight bug, it won't offer to put the amulet in your offhand slot unless your offhand is empty.

Just take off your shield and try to wield the amulet again.

And be careful. There is/was a bug where rings could be destroyed by acid in the shield slot. There may be a similar bug for amulets.

Yes there is - I'm planning on fixing this for 0.6.4 final.

        Thanks for everyone responding.

You may also get some more blow/magical (devices?) proficiency with the second amulet wielded. I don't remember precisely, but it's sure the case with warriors and rings. Anyway, I guess this (and rings) specialty is more for role-playing than a real big advantage that would make a difference in strategy. Unless you dreamed all your life to wear particular 2 artifact amulets at once, but couldn't in any other variant (or all 3 elven rings, though this is possible in TOME, I think).

Thanks for all the replies! I thought I would get an extra slot overall rather than having to give up my something . Ah well, didn't like that shield anyway.
