Vampires
So what exactly are the advantages to being a vampire? ((Z+Angband)) I'm playing one right now, and I do enjoy the intrinsic light-1 radius and the ability to get food from enemies, but other than that, what all are the advantages of being one?

I is the Larva. <3 -
+3 STR, +3 INT, +1 CON, RPoison, RCold, RNether, RDark, Hold Life, significant devices, saving throw and stealth boosts and reasonably large hit dice, all intrinsic, and once you get RLight the only negatives are the (not hugely crippling) experience penalty.
There's the (nearly complete) list, probably the best are the stat boosts: the only other races that get +2 or more INT without significant losses of STR and CON are Amberites and High-Elves. -
