    [Announce] Tsangband nearing pre-beta

    Hello, fellow Angbanders.))

    If there are still some Sangband fans out there, I will have a new and shiny variant, called Tsangband. Focused mainly on [T]errain (hence Tsangband), I wanted to make Angband more interactive - to keep you on your toes as you explore each room and each room is unique.

    My intention behind Tsangband is to enhance gameplay to fit the modern tastes - much more interactivity, almost detective-like approach to every room (already implemented semi-random textual desriptions [I had a thought of using the text output of games for machine learning to generate dungeon stories of sort] of each room to fit its generation).

    More interesting monster interaction (with you and the environment), for example if you mess around the bone piles too much, you can awake skeleton monster; or attract demons from pits; or some deeper spider leave behind a trail of cobwebs that you have to hack (or burn!) through (while also risking of summoning smaller single spiders), etc. etc.

    Also adding more reasons, why you explore. Three sets of quests (while keeping the hunting from Sangband), where you could for example explore a crypt ("S"earch is more vital part of the adventure) to sanctify the remains you find there. Each 5th level is guarded by a "GATE", where you have to slash through (or use stealth) to find the only stairs.

    Also close combat is getting an improvement so you don't endlessly just "bump" into the monsters, introducing "STAMINA" and focused attacks etc.
