Cross-Version "Bug" in Win10? After updates maybe?

So multiple V angband version binaries used to work fine on my Win10 laptop. But now both recent versions (4.1.3 and 4.2.1) AND really old-weird variants (AlexAngband) produce the same problem:

Binary launches, draws a single black window, pauses... and crashes. No error, no process left running.

Anybody seen this before?

Try changing the font you are using and see if that fixes it. This can be caused by a font file getting locked by some application and then Angband being unable to fix it. A reboot will usually fix the issue.
