I just found a Sling of Buckland +2 +2 on the floor at 150 feet!!!

a Sling of Buckland (x4) (+11,+17) <+2>
     Found lying on the floor at 150 feet (level 3)
     
     +2 dexterity.
     +2 shooting speed.
     +2 shooting power.
     Cannot be harmed by acid, fire.

Has anyone found one any shallower?
This could be game breaking...

This Half-Troll Rogue is my final class to winning with every class for Half-Troll race (4.1.3 and below).

I found one at a similar depth. At first I had no idea quite how powerful it was and wasn't that excited. I fired a few rounds pebbles and was one-shotting nearly everything. I don't think I bothered wielding a melee weapon until I died a predictable poison resistance hole death at clvl40.

That is the most ridiculous equipment list I have ever seen. Just a torch and a machinegun (and whatever junk melee weapon you happened to be using when you found the sling.)

I was, then he healed when I phased into a destruct zone and was digging out... If the spear wasn't branded with cold also, I would have never considered melee and gotten below poison breath damage.

Or, I could just have avoided him. But what's the fun in that?

I will post all of my Half-Troll winners once I finish this last class - Rogue.

Yikes. I rarely fight that thing at all, and never in melee. Especially with even a handful of ammo that does nominal 540 damage vs animals.
Even then: you surely would have survived longer with temporary fire and poison resistance from Scarabtrices! Those buffs are a no brainer!

Thank you - arrows acquired and many a shot (although a blackguards mana situation favors melee)

I didn't quite expect a decision point so soon though:

+1 constitution.
+2 searching skill.
+2 shooting power.
Provides resistance to Cold, Dark.
Cannot be harmed by Acid, Fire.
Sustains dexterity.
Prevents paralysis.

My Lothlorien bow does 58.5 with a base arrow, Nilos above does 115.1 with a base bolt. (I have some seeker bolts at home that will do 212

So I have Hold life and the +2 dex (.3 extra blows with my Maul of Westernesse) vs the extra bow damage (basically double) and extra con point (7 HP)
