Ossë. I swear every turn he leaves you stunned. 3(!) different water spells, and he picks them almost exclusively.

Battle scarred veterans. No part of the game is as terrifying as your first visit to town as a level 1 mage. Leads to such tense situations as "Crap, there's a battle-scarred veteran next to the wand shop, but I *really* want to see if they have any wands of magic missile for sale. Do I try to sneak past the slumbering murder hobo, or should I just head into the safety of the dungeon?"
