Continuing statistics survey:

I've recovered from the Void (archive.org) ancient Angband statistics:

So I wanna make some polls about modern Angband.. Vingt ans apres

I wanna start with some demographics and then come to gameplay details.

All polls are anonymous.

In 2020 you will have to deal with the possibility of getting "non-binary" answers in a poll like this one. I'm not sure we want to enter this discussion; the option for sex/gender has even been removed from the game.

I suppose you confuse 'sex' and 'gender' terms, please google The meaning of this topic is to get general demography statistics. If you are not satisfied with this survey - you are welcome to create yet another poll

I would very much encourage anyone who's non-binary here to ignore the above comment, which I know will feel off-putting for any non-binary people on this forum. (Which I find somewhat unlikely, but it's worth saying.) And if anyone (else*) is trans then please don't feel like you should write your birth sex, just go with your gender.

FWIW I think it would be a lot better to go by gender than sex too, though I'm not going to start a new thread for it.

*Yes, I'm transgender.

Yes... I'm sure you did not intended to offend anyone, but, no matter how you slice it, this type of question is impossible to simplify.

I'm really sorry if this poll offended someone, folks; didn't meant to. In Russia there is not much information about gender diversity, so I'm a barbarian in such questions

Also forum allows to have only 10 variants of answers in polls, so it's simply impossible to create poll which will include all 23 sexes (ooooook, I've googled some stuff myself). 23.. it's quite a lot More than races/classes in Angband I'm cool with it anyway. It's great that people have freedom to choose their personality. I myself choosen new name for myself (didn't changed it in documents thought) as I really don't like that parents gives you names which you obliged to bear. Everyone should choose his name himself. So I feel you (thought name is much more minor thing than gender)

If I were making a poll like this I would include

• Female
• Male
• Non-binary

Of course, internet jokers would choose the latter just for lols. But this list of three choices covers everything.
