    [Z]looking for help

I'm working on a char in zangband, so far it's been my most successful one yet but that isn't really saying a lot. I tried to make a char dump but it gave me a text file and I'm not sure how to upload it. Right now I'm a lv29 high elf sorcery rogue, hanging out at lv41(I've never been lower). I can list my resist since I don't have very many just acid cold and light with free action. I've got 82 AC and use the dagger of Fiona. what I'm looking for now is:

what resists should I get? I have some armor of resistance in my house but it's got 13 ac and my WDSM has 40.

it's starting to take an immense amount of exp to level, is there a good way to get up higher?

how do I make a dump if that will help?

if I come to an unfortunate end, what are the stronger race/class combos in zangband?

at that dlev you shoud have all basic resists (FCEA) and poison will be suitable (Fiona give it to you IIRC). Higher AC didn't help you if pack of hounds catch you on the open area.

oh many of them - it relative of how you prefer to play - ie warrior and chaos warrior with strong race are easier at the beginning

      1. Sell the White DSM, and wear elvenkind. It has RBase and a random resist, AND it gives +3 stealth, which is very important unless your character is endgame strong.
      2. Carry a swap source of confusion resistance. (Thengel or the ring.)
      3. Go deeper if you want more experience.

about the stealth I found some boots of annoyance +8 to speed. If I wear them I get to +10 passive speed, but every monster nearby wakes up. Right now I'm wearing them because it seemed before every annoying monster already was awake(troll nests, hounds, vault monsters)

I've been working on the char for while and here is the new dump. I'm on lv98 and am no match for oberon or most anything that level. now..

so I made it to 98. what do I do now? look for artifacts?
how do I deal with the hordes of both monsters and items. I ran into a nest of ancient green dragons and there has to be a better way than bringing them to a hallway and holding down my down key then psuedo iding 100 items
my damage seems really low. I've tried to kill some of the stronger uniques like tiamat and it would go like I swing, they are at 10 *s. they do a bunch of damage. I swing they are at 10 *s, they breath and I'm at 100 health and teleport away. It took forever to kill sauramon, he kept outhealing my damage
how do I deal with the thief uniques like caine and bleys? I hit them once and they teleport away. I had to chase fiona/brand/corwin all over with dimention door, these guys teleport as soon as I start fighting them.
how is it possible to win without sorcery?

I'm guessing that your melee weapon is a randart. Does it have any brands or slays? If not then you might consider looking for a lighter weapon with better damage dice. Try to find a good Diamond Edge or another decent artifact. With your current stats I think you should be able to get at least 4 blows with a decent weapon.

Alternatively you could rely more on your crossbow. Ammunition should be plentiful in Z - visit ammo shops and fletchers if you need to. With branded seeker bolts you'll put out a LOT of damage.

my scythe has slay evil, protection from evil and life draining. I don't really know how I would survive without the life draining. I get 6 blows per round with fiona's, which is poison+frost branded but that seems to do nothing since every strong monster resists pretty much everything. the scythe is also my see invisible source.

As for the crossbow it his hard but I only get .83 shots per round
