    Best Race / Class Pairs

    What do you think are the most effective race / class pairs? I'll start, though I'm creating this thread because I'm not sure of my answers. Order is same as birth screen, not my preference.

    I would argue high elves are better warriors, than Dunadan. They have better stealth, and dexterity, they have see invisible which is incredibly useful if you want to get through the first 10 floors quickly, and better devices and shooting. Plus, a warriors strength comes from their equipment, not level. I think the only thing they get out of level is HP, but I could be wrong. So the High Elfs experience penalty isnt a big deal.

      Well, warriors advance their skills as well (melee, archery, save, disarm, etc.). But you make good points.

        i found troll mage to be a very playable class. What you lose in SP at the beginning you make up for having regen, and a decent amount of HP to kill the occasional fruit bat when you failed all your MM and are stuck in a corner.

        Once you get to DL20+ and start carrying a helm of intelligence and 2x ring of INT, you won't feel the lack of INT base.

        Also .. mauls.
