protect item from accidental sale

I have a vague memory that there was some kind of inscription I could put on an item to prevent being able to sell it (accidentally). Of course this only applies to games where selling is enabled in the first place.

Can someone help me remember the trick? I tried to search but got so much stuff about the no_selling birth option I couldn't find what I was looking for.
