    how do Turns work?

    what is the difference between standard, game and resting?
    resting i take it is pretty self explanatory, but why is game turns so much larger than standard turns?

    Game turns are the fundamental unit of time in the game; everything that happens must happen on a game turn. Think of game turns like seconds on a clock. Every game turn, every creature (player + monsters) in the game gets an amount of "energy" added to them based on their speed. Then creatures with at least 100 energy are allowed to take an action; this is where player turns comes in. At normal speed you get 10 energy per game turn, so game turns should be 10x larger than standard turns for as long as you don't get hasted or slowed and only use actions that cost 100 energy (the default). If you have a type of action that's unusually fast, like +shots, that action costs less energy, so your next opportunity to take a turn comes up faster. Similarly, if you have +speed, then you get more energy per game turn, so less time passes in between your turns.

      .. are game turns the number of times you acted, and standard turns the number of game-time-turns that have passed?
      is 1 turn resting = 1 standard turn ?

        Game turns are ticks on the clock; they correspond directly to how much in-game time passes. Standard turns are actions taken. I'm not 100% sure on how the game measures resting turns, but I suspect every resting turn is a standard turn; basically you're taking the action of resting.

          And a "round" is 10 game turns, right? Which is also 1 player or creature turn at normal speed?

            "Round" is not really a well-defined term, but I think when people use it on these forums they're generally talking about player turns.

            But yes, there are 10 game turns per 1 normal-speed 100-energy-costing turn.

              'I'nspecting weapons gives a number of blows and average damage per round, though. Should that read "standard turn"?

                Fair point! I think I would phrase it as "per attack" maybe? "Full attack action" would be precise but a mouthful.

                  Those figures include overall speed, though, so it's not just per 1 full attack action.
