    Here you go, it's attached.

    I've gone and played again from this save and haven't encountered another pile integrity failure -- the offending pile was formed from the drops of various maiar, and doesn't exist yet in the save --; I hope you will find the save useful anyway though.

    Thanks for your work on Angband BTW.

    [BUG] [4.2.0] Pile integrity failure

    I just got the following message on depth level 78, while slogging through the items left behind by a pit of Ainur:

    "Pile integrity failure, details written to C:\Games\angband\lib\user\pile_error.txt".

    The game then quit. The referenced file contains this:

    Pile integrity failure at obj-pile.c:144

    Guilty object
    =============
    Name: Dexterity
    Next: Healing

    Guilty pile
    =============
    Name: Wisdom
    Name: Blue Dragon Scale Mail~
    Name: Metal Brigandine Armour~
    Name: & Mattock~
    Name: Constitution
    Name: Dexterity
    Name: Healing
    Name: & Light Crossbow~
    This is on x86-64 / Windows 7 / vanilla Angband 4.2.0, BTW. I have a savefile created earlier on this same level that I can provide, in case it might help with debugging.
