Quick question about Mr.Att logo LICENSE

I've been doing some vector-related stuff that would probably be helpful to Vanilla and the rest of the variants, and was wondering,

what's the deal with Mr.Att? If understand correctly, it was made by takkaria, and since there's no license information, I have to assume it's covered by GPL/Angband dual-license. Am I correct?

Since it's an asset, and code licenses don't mesh well with assets, would it be possible to re-license that particular piece of work under Creative Commons,
CC-BY (preferrably), or CC-BY-SA (if you must)?

It was created by my brother, ajps. I think he's probably pretty happy with it being public domain (or CC-0 if you prefer). Though I'm not sure what font the "@" is in.
takkaria whispers something about options. -more-

I did figure the font out at one point while creating the angband live logo, but I have since forgotten

looks like it could be Verdana or Tahoma.

Aaaargh! Does it mean it's totally illegal to use..?

I'm reading on free/replacement fonts done by various FOSS groups, and they all range from GPL to Apache, no sane assets license.

OK, I think I'll have to re-create the '@' symbol, to alleviate all such concerns.

Thanks, I was actually considering this, but I wanted to find something as close to the original as possible.

I've settled on "Aileron" font https://fontlibrary.org/en/font/aileron by Sora Sogano, which is CC0.

See the attached file for the "diff", the red one is the old type used by ajps, the new one is Aileron (Italic). It's not a perfect match, but I think it will do.

              https://mangband.org/downloads/images/att-cc0.svg (permalink)

P.S. this forum downsized the diff image

Here's a larger version https://mangband.org/downloads/images/att-diff.png (temporary link, I'll delete this file at some point)

P.P.S. It might look like the leg is not connected to the new body, it's actually fixed in the .svg, by breaking the proportions somewhat. The "diff" shows proportional scale.
