Yes it does. It prevents stunning completely, even from melee and earthquake crushes. rSound which used to give protection to stun didn't give those.

Nothing really helps against GMMs. Get Staves of Teleportation instead.

I just checked the source code again, and you're right. In latest version, pStun makes GMMs much less dangerous.

Wow, weird to say an old thread of mine pop up after so long

This was from an era when hounds were EVERYWHERE. I'm glad they're a lot less common now.
