Advantage of Being Cursed

I find it interesting that some items are cursed. While normally one thinks of curses as being a bad thing to get removed from enchanted item, I'd argue that not all curses are necessarily bad, nor should be removed. Ones like stoneskin and summoning can be useful in their own right, if used properly.

Modern Angband curses are meant to lure you into getting yourself killed, not just be outright bad items. They're much more interesting that way.

That's why you have to be careful on cursed item usage. I mean, what is the roll chance that you're going to summon a major demon when you're in town and your character is only level 5? Also where you summon is important. Don't summon in a spot where you're going to not going to be able to get away easily, or deal with what you summoned. I've been lucky I guess? None of my summons are particularly dangerous. Some like tengus can be annoying more than anything.
