Room template is called "Exercise in frustration". I remember the same concept in Eye of the Beholder, where the exit to a room was hidden among 6 doors, 5 of which were opening to a plain stone wall.
Note that one of the cells contains "a treasure or stairs guarded by monsters". You don't know... maybe that's the only stairs down on the level, and you're playing ironman.
