Persist messages? (A request)

I never know when my things recharge (!!) because the message doesn't stay on the top of the screen for more than one turn. ie, it flashes on the top of my screen really quickly. I have a small screen computer so I don't have any other windows in view, just the main one. I 'CTRL p' a lot. Would it be unreasonable for recharge messages to persist 5 turns? It would be amazing for my Taratol-esque weapon that doesn't do any damage except to dragons but hastens me. I really can't be wielding it any longer than I have to because my main does big damage and has +3 CON and I don't have rPois (but I have 788HP when I wield the main weapon).

What about color-coded messages? If recharge notifications were, say, red, you'd be less likely to miss them.

I assume the "notify on recharge" option doesnt do it for you because youre not resting while waiting for a recharge ?

Correct; usually running down a hallway and a message will flash on the top of my screen but I don't know what it is. If it persisted for five turns I'd probably be able to read it.
