I used a scroll of identify on an amulet that I had found but it's stats/powers still remained hidden. Do I have to use another scroll on it?
Scroll of Identify...that didn't(?)

because if you use it on a sword (+5,+5) {??} and it turns out that the {??} is a bunch of runes, you have learned runes that YOU DO NOT WANT as opposed to RUNES THAT YOU WANT.
oh wow look, a pike of treacherous weapon, exactly what i wanted!"i can take this dracolich"Comment

eh, while that's true, ideally you'd want - as a player - to know the useful ones before you learn the curses. as most curses don't have any positive effects, you'll never use any of the items identified, thus "a waste of ID".
perhaps in the future we can have a two-tier curse system. for example, Treacherous Weapon could be changed to Bloodthirsty, and akin to Stormbringer, it could do more damage but occasionally hurt you as well."i can take this dracolich"Comment

Sky--i rarely ID all the curses in a single game. I certainly wouldn't waste an ID on some lousy +5 sword with no obvious attributes (like rBlind, stat boost, blessed, etc.) The only time to spend ID on an object is if there's a chance you might actually want to use it. If you really care about curses, take some cursed objects back to the stores where they will be IDed for free.Comment
