how about we bring back [s] ?

since Search is now gone, how about we have [s] become default for R&[Enter] ?

think about it, you need to shift+r, shift+7, Enter just to recover your hp. Call me weird but i was under the impression that hack n slash games were pretty big on resting to recover health.

Eh, if it's a keymap every player should have, the game should have it to start with, I feel. Especially if there's room in the keyset for it. I like this idea.

Yeah, I often map s to R10, to allow slower monsters to come around a corner
When they arrive, the rest is interrupted.

Everyone has it on a different key. I have R99<enter>, R555<enter> and R*<enter> on close keys. A default rest key would just mean I´d have to unbind it at start of the game. With this game, youll have to learn how to keymap eventually anyway so defaulting too many keys isnt going to do much good.

i don't really see the point of having multiple rest values if they are above or below the maximum. And yes, i do have a keymap for that, but then again, what Philip said.

You need a rest with a specific value if you happen to be at full HP. I use this ONLY to lie in wait for monsters. Very occasionally I will rest a different value if there is some specific magic device I need to recharge (say a rod of speed, detection or TO, or the Arkenstone.)

if you just hit shift+r and then enter it rests for you. Shift and enter don't really count for keystrokes, half a keystroke at most.

That too. I certainly never would make a keymap for resting til fully recovered. But having a keymap available when clearing a dragon pit or the like can help.
