Return after recalling

After using recall is there a trick to returning to the original level you teleport-ed from or do you have to manually make your way back down?

You can also cancel a pending recall (either to or from the dungeon) by recalling again.

Hmmm, show the whole Inspect the first time you identify (by use or magic) that particular base item/ego/artifact?

The inspect description on WoR does clearly indicate that it can be used to return to the dungeon. It doesn't say anything about the mechanic that determines what DL you'll land on, but most users will figure that out without help.
