i would LOVE a feature similar to (i)gnore, that can be toggled, where i can tell the game to "pick up all Arrows" "or pick up all Bolts" when walking on them.

Press = in Angband (and Angbandlikes) to reach the options screen.
Press { in the Angband options screen to reach the auto-inscriptions screen.
Press the cursor keys in the Angband auto-inscriptions screen to change which item type is selected there.
Press { in the Angband auto-inscriptions screen to set an auto-inscription upon pickup for the selected item type.
Set the auto-inscription to for an item type to "=g" to automatically inscribe any item-stack of that type with "=g" when you first pick it up.
The =g inscription causes auto-pickup of an item.
So if you set this e.g. for arrows, then once you pick up an arrow stack, the arrows in that stack will be autopickup'ed *even if you no longer are carrying even one arrow in the stack.* (Even without this setting, you autopickup ammo by default if you have at at least one matching piece of ammo. This is due to the default "Always pickup items matching inventory" option. But it's annoying when you empty a stack and you have to manually pick up at least one arrow etc. in the stack to auto-pickup the rest.)
This setting DOES NOT cause autopickup of arrows, etc. UNTIL you have picked up the given stack at least once. That's why I asked Sky "do you know about this" rather than writing "do this."
The only way I know of to pick up all arrows is to pick up everything (see Angband's "user interface options." IMO that option gets old quickly, though. So you ride yourselves over the fields and you make all your animal deals and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.Comment

But after that, someone would have to write a manual with all the stuff that isn't in the manual of things that aren't in the manual.
It would get out of hand quickly. So you ride yourselves over the fields and you make all your animal deals and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.Comment

I like valgrind. it's the biggest timesaver people invented since the invention of the wheel.
UBSan&ASan are even better (no noticeable initialization delay on my machine).
I'm now playing with it on. WARNING: with UBSan&ASan panic saves don't seam to work.Comment
