    shield!

Just ran into a shield I had never seen before...

    Small Metal Shield (Dwarven) (+3,+4) [5,+21] <+2,+1>

Don't think I've seen the + to Hit and Damage like this on a shield before.

Not playing with Randarts....Is this unusual or rare?

that's pretty standard from DL80 onwards.

i would actually like to see them earlier. dwarven shields are good, with the con bonus, but generally by the time you find them you already have Elros, Thorin or Haradrim (+5,+5).

It's kinda rare because the ego is bound to the base item "Small Metal Shield". You will never see any other ego Dwarven shield.

Yeah, ended up leaving it behind as I already have several superior shields. Using Elros at the moment.

I agree. Native depth of DL60 would be nice. It's very rare I use one of these by the time I find it.

I tend to use them more often in randarts, when my shield options are less reliable, that said, having them show up a bit earlier, or possibly be bound to the full array of metal shields would make them more plentiful and more likely to be used.

I should probably take note of this.
