    Winged Horrors

Does a winged horror represent the creatures the nazgul fly on?

In the LOTR, they are referred to as "fell creatures" or "fell beasts" or suchlike. I don't think I've seen them called winged horrors. I think winged horrors come from the call of cthulhu rpg.

And shouldn't they be evil? Angband 4.0.5 describes them as "natural creatures", but I think they were bred by sauron which should make them evil like orcs and the like.

Each Nazgul should probably have one as escort too.

      my favourite subject, Nazguls!

vanilla nazguls suck. Mouth of Sauron is ok, but pretty much all the other ringwraith are too easy for the DL/CL you fight them at.

Mouth of Sauron isn't a Nazgul - he was an old, evil human. At least in the book.

My bad. I was thinking of The Witch King; with his strong summons, he's much more of a challenge than his other friends, who can be taken down with a stack of arrows, a bunch of ?phase, and a potion of speed.

In my defense, the icon for the mouth of sauron looks a lot like a Nazgul.

Back to tge subject, i would lower the DL of the nazguls...all of them. Make them something you want to avoid rather than a free goodies bag.

          Also, more Summon Ringwraith, pls.

On the topic of "summon ringwraiths". Shouldn't that, well, summon ringwraiths?

The last time I had a monster use that ability it summoned some random undead stuff without a single nazgul among them.

That's what happens if it's unable to grab any ringwraiths. Usually because they're all dead. Better than having the monster waste a turn.
