Holy Infusions

I just hit lvl 45 with my priest and dug out my book of Infusions. I wanted to make better arrows with branding. After casting it I find it only targets the melee weapon.
What is the point? By level 45 better weapons will be found. It would be cool if the priest could "Bless" a weapon, maybe not permanently.

That's a good idea, letting a priest bless a weapon temporarily, maybe I'll put that into DaJAngband sometime. I have thought the same thing, that Elemental brand for melee at that level is kinda useless (unless you can add a brand to an ego weapon and have it keep its other special properties).

Currently in DaJAngband, there is no branding spell in the prayer realm, and the melee branding spell is in the mage realm. The ranger uses the nature realm, and the archer uses the alchemy realm, both of which have a form of the elemental brand ammo spell.

hmm, after thinking about it, a temporary blessing could be hard to implement (for me anyway, I don't know if better programmers might know how to do it better), but maybe I'll think of something.
