does it matter? you get nearly every resist AND +3 speed ..

other OP egos: gauntlets of combat (+2 STR, +2 CON) can easily go to (+10, +10), which makes them better than Fingolfin; Bow Of Lothlorien is pretty well OP as a shooter, never mind the added bonuses.
Boots of Elvenkind (+8 spd, +6 stealth), maybe luck out with a cloak that gives rNether.

Well no. Both Dwarven and Speed high dragon armor are ridiculously overpowered. CON and Speed are both god stats. Probably they should be limited to MHDSM at the outside (That is comparable to existing artifacts. The armor most comparable to Dwarven Balance DSM is soulkeeper, which is vastly more rare.

I feel that of speed is overrated though; I think I had one case where using one enabled me to replace a speed ring or so, but that was one of those games where I played past the point of winning. I prefer dwarven DSM, the stats are usually useful.

Edit: I once found 2 dwarven PDSMs in one game, and they stacked. I am sure its one of my dumps, but I cant find out which one. I really need to save a link to that dump.

Coincidence that they both had exactly the same AC bonus?

Yes! Thanks for finding it - I thought it was dwarven, but it was Craftsmanship.

I find PDSM maybe once every 100 games... and I'm amazed to see people finding PDSM of speed +5, or even two IDENTICAL PDSMs in the same game.

Someone mentioned maybe a couple weeks ago (maybe it was you PowerWyrm?) that version 4.0.5 they were swimming in top artifacts. In a recent game I found 3 or 4 DSMs of speed. I had never seen any DSMs of speed before that game. So that was... weird. I also found my first PDSM during that game. I think it was also that same game I found two rings of power. In another recent game I found one ring of power and two BDSMs of Craftmanship, one Elvenkind (rDark), and one CDSM of speed <+5>. So basically, all the items just mentioned were found in 2 games where I reached depths where such items are found.

Even better than BT? I found BT at DL105 in the same game I found Ringil I believe (also 4.0.5). Surely BT is the best protective item in the game? Thank you for not mentioning other rare items by their full names!

One question I have: Some time ago (more than a year I think) Casp was a common armor to find, but now Himring is super common. I never see Casp anymore. It used to be I never saw Himring. Now I see Himring *every game*. Was a change made?

One difference, maybe, is the speed of play. We would need data on the turncounts in addition to data on the ego and artifacts found. I suspect grinding may have something to do with the difference.

it wasn't a power-, it was a white dragon scale mail of speed +5. i assume that since the -of speed can go to +5, then the PDSM can also be of speed +5. i had only ever seen before a speed +3, which is already rare among the speed bonus, which is normally +2, and -of speed in itself is the rarest, with dwarven second rarest, craftsmanship third, and plain ol' scalemail being last.

There's also of stealth which I found in my latest game before I died to an unresisted nether breath from a demilich because I stupidly decided to take on an Undead Pit.
